Does the m002 Mount work with a redesigned Mount?

Encoders: The JMI encoder system made for the older M002 mount does not currently work with this redesigned mount. If you are interested in a complete encoder system for this mount head, we recommend the Nexus encoder kit for the M002C by Astro-Devices.

Where does a flange attach to a tripod?

The brackets attach to the right and left side of the enclosure, and the flange attaches to the tripod near the mast. The flange fits into a notch in one of the brackets, and the other bracket connects to a tripod leg via the U-bolt.

Can a TR3 tripod be used in a wheelchair?

When used with the Oberwerk TR3 maple tripod, the combined height range allows viewing to zenith while standing, or while laying back in a reclining lawn chair. It’s also ideal for viewing from a wheelchair.

Can I use the m002c with a Denali tripod?

If you want to use the M002C with the former Denali tripod (without the column base) use the MEC003 column. This column has a standard 3/8-16 threaded hole so it will work with many heavy-duty camera tripods. If you are using a surveyor's tripod (with 5/8-11 attachment bolt), use the MEC002 column.

Can bt-100xl-ed be mounted?

Optional stainless-steel counter-weight caps add an additional 2 lbs. of capacity, so the BT-100XL-ED can be mounted. One of the count-weights is removeable, so smaller binoculars (minimum weight 2 lbs.) can also be used. A lanyard-attached stainless-steel pin locks the mount in a horizontal position, to facilitate attaching/removing the binocular.
